Course Overview
This programme is not available for application for September 2024 entry.
The MSc Healthcare Practice is aimed at qualified and registered nurses and other health care professionals who wish to undertake continuing professional development, progress to higher-level studies and gain a postgraduate qualification. As many senior posts require postgraduate qualifications, this programme will support individuals in their career development and progression.
This flexible programme has a student-centred approach and students will have access to a wide range of CPD modules which will enable them to build their qualification around their professional needs, personal interests and career aspirations. By selecting optional modules which are relevant to their area of specialism, they can tailor their learning to meet their personal and professional requirements and the needs of their employer.
The programme has been designed to meet the needs of the graduate interprofessional healthcare workforce and employers, including our partner health boards (HBs), Swansea Bay University HB and Hywel Dda University HB, as well as other healthcare providers in the private, independent and voluntary (PVI) healthcare sector.
The programme will build on students’ current knowledge, experience and skills, enabling them to identify and implement improved ways of working that will have a positive impact on patient care. Practice learning elements will be undertaken in the students’ substantive area of employment or within other clinical areas within their employing organisation. The programme aims equip individuals to navigate and adapt through the rapid changes taking place in healthcare.
