Online resources as part of Eisteddfod T

During the Eisteddfod T week this year Scientists from Swansea University released a series of Welsh-medium online activities for children as part of the alternative, redesigned Urdd National Eisteddfod event. Videos can be viewed and resources can be downloaded on this page.

The GwyddonLe science pavilion has been a partnership between the Urdd and Swansea University since 2010, becoming one of the Eisteddfod’s most popular attractions, with experts bringing science to life with interactive scientific exhibits and workshops for the thousands of young people who visit the pavilion each day.

With the Eisteddfod being moved online last year, the Urdd is determined to organise an even more innovative festival by adding more competitions and new elements to offer unique experiences for the children and youngsters of Wales, along with their teachers and family members. Swansea University continues to offer daily science activities during the week on the Eisteddfod App and below.

Live events at GwyddonLe

Technocamps will be hosting two live 'Save the astronaut' sessions on Zoom during this year's Urdd Eisteddfod week as part of the GwyddonLe offering. The sessions, which will be held on Tuesday afternoon, 1st June, and Friday 4th June, are suitable for 9-13 year olds. Children will need to solve problems to save an "astronaut" and have the opportunity to ask questions about space too!
