Academi Hywel Teifi's Welsh-medium Scholarships and Bursaries scheme is open to students who have already chosen to come to Swansea University and who choose to study through the medium of Welsh where there is an opportunity, rather than through English. Hywel Teifi Memorial Scholarship
The Hywel Teifi Memorial Scholarship is available for Welsh-medium postgraduate students who want to study a Master's degree by Research, MPhil or PhD in a field related to the late Professor Hywel Teifi Edwards' contribution to Welsh learning and culture, areas such as Welsh literature, the Welsh language, Media, Politics or History.
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Students studying a full-time or part-time Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) can get funding to help with the costs of the course, providing all Student Finance eligibility criteria is met.
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) courses attract the same funding as an undergraduate degree course. Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Research Scholarship Scheme
The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Research Scholarship Scheme supports students studying for a doctorate through the medium of Welsh. Recent doctoral scholarships jointly funded by Coleg Cymraeg and Swansea University include the fields of Psychology, Translation, Welsh, Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences.
