The Digital Communications, Regulations and Publications Team is responsible for overseeing, reviewing, developing and publishing the University’s regulations, policies and guidance. We develop resources for staff and students, such as handbooks, guides and codes of practice, and publish them on the University webpages and the digital learning platform. We continuously improve our processes and Academic Quality Services communication strategies, to ensure staff and students are able to easily find the information they need.
Academic Quality Development Officer
Fiona Rees-Cridland, Academic Quality Development Officer, Digital Communications, Regulations and Publications
Fiona Rees-Cridland joined Swansea University in 1997 having previously worked at Bangor University. Fiona has significant experience in higher education administration with expertise in student assessment, regulations and procedures, graduation, student cases, quality assurance, student appeals, learning and teaching matters. Fiona was previously a Branch Correspondent for the Association of University Administrators. Currently Fiona is an associate member of the Association of Project Managers and holds the project management qualification.
Fiona is responsible for the development of regulations, policies & publications, and Project Leadership & Management.

Joanna Parketny, Academic Quality Engagement Officer, Digital Communications, Regulations and Publications
Jo joined Swansea University in 2017 after leaving her role in the Royal College of Psychiatrists as a Project Worker for the Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services. Previously, Jo worked as a Research Assistant in the Brain and Behaviour Lab in Birkbeck University, and prior to that as an Administrator in the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London. Jo has a diverse professional experience in Higher Education sector, both in an academic and a quality assurance capacity. Her current role is focused on regulatory and educational content development, publication and management. Jo is also responsible for Academic Quality Services communication strategy and effective communication of any changes to regulatory frameworks or guidance available to staff and students.
Jo is developing and maintaining Swansea University publications and resources for staff and students, including Guides, Handbooks, Codes of Practice, Digital Learning Platform content, and Academic Quality Services and Academic Regulations webpages and associated media.
