Course Details

This module is aimed at clinicians practicing in relevant maternity and neonatal care settings.

The module will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to undertake the systematic physical examination of the newborn, in accordance with current UK Newborn and Infant Physical Examination (NiPE) standards. As a midwife or other registered professional, you will
build on your existing clinical expertise to develop competence in newborn examinations. This will enhance continuity of care for women and families and support a holistic approach to midwifery and neonatal practice.
