What is a Research institute?
A research institute is an establishment founded to conduct world-leading research with real-world impact. Our research institutes are committed to supporting, encouraging and prioritizing staff and student research. Research institutes aim to encourage interdisciplinary research across Swansea University and afar, to enhance research opportunities and make a real difference to global challenges in Wales, the UK and beyond.
Exploring Global Problems
Exploring Global Problems is our podcast series, where academics from across the University talk about how their ground-breaking research help tackle a variety of global challenges.
In this 11-episode third season, our academics will examine topics as diverse and important as protecting ourselves from cancer-causing chemicals, improving health care for autistic people and rethinking society’s relationship with cars.
