Legal Practice and Advanced Drafting, LLM

We welcome applications from students holding the following qualifications:

• 2:2 degree or above in law. Degrees must be a qualifying law degree as specified by the SRA. 
• Students holding a Graduate Diploma in Law.

If English is not your first language you will need an acceptable pass in an approved English Language qualification such as the IELTS test, with a score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component) or equivalent.

The course consists of taught modules (compulsory and optional), and a 10,000 word independent drafting project.

In term one, students will undertake eight compulsory modules. This is followed by the independent drafting project alongside three optional modules in term two.

Optional modules can include topics such as:

Family and Child Law and Practice, Advanced Commercial Law, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, Business Leases, Employment Law and Practice, Advanced Criminal Practice.

Some provision

There are opportunities for Welsh speakers to study some elements of this postgraduate course through the medium of Welsh but there is not yet enough provision to reach 40 credits in each year. The Programme Director can outline to you what is available in Welsh.
