Dr Daniele Doneddu is a Senior Lecturer at Swansea University’s School of Management.
He has a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, medical technology, innovation, economic development and IP.
He has been involved in a plethora of academic – business collaborative Research, Industrial Research and Enterprise and Innovation projects at the life science-engineering interface, successfully managed EU-funded medium (£2m+) private-public RDI initiatives - and advised life science and diagnostic companies on IPR, tech and engineering. He has been PI and Co-I on a number of UK and EU-funded research grants, including EPSRC, InnovateUK, FSA, H2020 (FET, MSCA), and involved in programmes spanning research upskilling, doctoral training, technology development and societal challenges.
Daniele is also a practitioner in Enterprise and Innovation, driving high tech new venture creation (University spinout).
Previously, he also led the business development activities and co-led the academic strategy activities that took a private international Joint-Venture University from initial concept through to launch, in South-East Asia, and also advised foreign Governments and Industry on skills and education policy, innovation and transfer/translation of knowledge and research into tangible economic, industrial and social outcomes.
