Dr. Guoqing Zhao is a Lecturer in Operations Management. Guoqing’s research focuses on the areas of supply chain risk management, supply chain resilience, knowledge management, and industry 4.0 technologies and its implications on supply chain management. His work has been published in highly regarded journals including Computers in Industry, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning & Control, International Journal of Entrepreneurial & Behavior Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Food and Agribusiness Management Review, and among others.

Dr. Guoqing received a high citation award, conference attendance award, micro-media grant, Chinese Government award, and best paper award.

Currently, Dr. Guoqing serves as a track chair of IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS23), Track 8: Intelligent Systems and Supply Chains for Sustainable Development and program committee of International Conference on Decision Support System Technology (2023)

Dr. Guoqing Zhao has worked on several funded projects, including EU Horizon 2020 RUC-APS project (https://ruc-aps.eu/), European Regional Development Fund funded EPIC project (https://epicehealth.co.uk/), UK British Council funded project, and The UK Royal Society funded project. Therefore, Guoqing got opportunities to visit different countries across Asia, Europe, and South America to explore issues related to agri-food supply chains.
