Jocelyn is a qualitative researcher who focuses on experiences of work including identity and flexibility. Jocelyn has published research on psychological contracts, employee engagement and identity.
Jocelyn retains close links with industrial partners and has contributed to a number of commissioned research projects including employee engagement for Welsh Government and Employee involvement and participation for ACAS Wales.
Jocelyn is an experienced leader and has been Deputy Head of Department for Business since 2015. She is Head of the People and Organisation group and contributes to a range of courses in her subject areas including organisational behaviour and human resource management. In her teaching capacity she has vast experience in curriculum design and leadership, is an experienced external examiner and has contributed to numerous validation events at undergraduate, post graduate and Doctoral level and has served on a number of university committees.
Jocelyn is has supervised numerous PhDs and is currently supervising students involved with qualitative research projects.
Jocelyn has obtained research funding from Welsh Government, ESRC, British Academy and most recently, the Swansea University Research Excellence Studentship.
Jocelyn is a Chartered member of the CIPD and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
